How-To Stop Email Clutter from LinkedIn groups

When you join a LinkedIn group, your chances of getting flooded with emails is very high. If you joined a lot of LinkedIn groups, your poor defenseless Gmail account is certainly going to suffer for it. Much of this is caused by the default settings you have in LinkedIn. You can always use the given steps to manually stop the emails about every discussion from every group you joined. But that’s a very long process depending on how many you joined.

Use these simple steps to block the email you no longer want:

  1. Install Block Sender for Gmail. Just one click of the “Install Block Sender” button is all it takes.
  2. Log into your Gmail account using Google Chrome (recommended).
  3. Open the email that you wish to block.
  4. Locate and click the Block button on the messages toolbar.
  5. Optionally, you can configure various methods to handle unwanted emails by clicking the down arrow button and clicking Options. You can also select another option from the down arrow key if you like.

Gmail does an excellent job of blocking spam, but sometimes you just want to go the extra mile and prevent some mail from ever reaching your account.
